Privacy Policy
How pixyit protects children, families, and partners.
Last updated: September 21, 2026
pixyit Inc. (“pixyit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Family Galleries, Partner Galleries, public galleries, artwork claiming, private audio and transcription features, keepsakes, campaigns, kiosks, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
Our accounts are for adults who are at least 18 years old. Children and teenagers under 18 may participate only through an account managed by an authorized adult or through an authorized Partner program.
1. Who May Create an Account
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a pixyit account. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create or manage an account.
An adult who adds or manages a child’s artwork, information, story, or voice recording must be the child’s parent or legal guardian, have permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have lawful authority to do so.
An adult using pixyit for an organization must be authorized to act for that organization.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication details, preferences, and confirmation that you are at least 18.
- Family Gallery information, such as a child’s first name or display name, age or age range, optional country, profile details, and gallery organization.
- Artwork and related content, including images, titles, stories, descriptions, tags, and collection information.
- Private audio recordings and the text transcriptions created from them.
- Partner-provided information, such as artwork, artist identifiers, first names, class or group information, titles, descriptions, and claim-matching information.
- Order and subscription information, including products, personalization, shipping details, billing status, discounts, refunds, and transaction history. Payment providers process full payment-card details on our behalf.
- Royalty, nonprofit contribution, and Partner revenue-share records.
- Communications with pixyit, including support requests, reports, feedback, and survey responses.
- Technical and usage information, such as device type, browser, IP address, approximate region, pages or features used, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and security events.
3. Children’s Information
Children do not create or manage pixyit accounts. Information about a child is provided and managed by an adult account holder or an authorized Partner.
We ask adults and Partners to provide only the information reasonably needed to use the Services. Do not add a child’s surname, home address, personal contact details, precise location, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
pixyit relies on the account holder’s or Partner’s confirmation of authority and does not routinely require identification or independently verify legal guardianship. We may request additional information if we receive a claim, dispute, safety concern, or legally valid request involving a child or gallery.
4. Voice Recordings and Transcription
An authenticated adult account holder may record and save a child’s voice with an artwork when authorized to do so. Audio is private and available only through the account that recorded it. It is not displayed publicly, included in Partner Galleries, available through private sharing links, indexed by search engines, or made accessible to Partner accounts.
We use audio only to store and play the recording for that account and to generate an editable text transcription that may be used as the artwork description. We do not use audio for advertising, behavioral profiling, voice identification, or training artificial-intelligence models.
A transcription provider may process a recording only to provide transcription services on pixyit’s behalf and must protect it consistently with its contractual and legal obligations.
Deleting a recording makes it unavailable through the Services immediately. It is permanently deleted within 30 days. A separately saved text description may remain until the account holder edits or deletes it.
5. Automated Transcriptions and Tags
The Services may use automated tools to create audio transcriptions, recognize features of artwork, and suggest tags or descriptions. These suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate and can be reviewed and edited by the account holder.
We do not use User Content or personal information to train artificial-intelligence models. We do not use personal information for advertising.
6. Private and Public Content
Family content is private by default. The adult account holder decides whether an artwork and its related information appear publicly.
A private Family Gallery or artwork may be shared through an unguessable link. Anyone who receives or is forwarded that link may be able to view the shared artwork, so account holders should share links only with people they trust. Private audio is not available through the link.
If an account holder makes artwork public, the public display may include the artwork, artist’s first name, age, optional country, title, description, and tags. Anyone may view the public artwork and may purchase available products featuring it.
Public artwork and its permitted public details may be featured in the pixyit public gallery, Partner experiences, pixyit social media, emails, and other pixyit promotional materials. We do not share a child’s photograph, surname, school, precise location, private audio, or other private content unless the child’s parent or legal guardian separately directs or authorizes us to do so.
An account holder may later make Family Gallery artwork private. It will no longer appear in the pixyit public gallery, but this will not affect completed transactions, products already printed, or orders already in production.
7. Partner Galleries and Artwork Claims
Schools, museums, youth programs, community organizations, brands, and other participating organizations (“Partners”) may upload artwork and limited related information. Each Partner is responsible for having the authority and permissions, including any required parental consent, needed to upload, display, and manage that information through pixyit.
Before an artwork is claimed, the Partner manages it in the Partner Gallery and may add or update its title and description. Partner accounts cannot add, access, or listen to Family Gallery audio.
To process a claim, pixyit compares information submitted by the Family Gallery account holder with information supplied by the Partner. A successful match connects the artwork to the Family Gallery. It does not verify legal guardianship, determine identity, transfer copyright, or establish copyright ownership.
After a successful claim, the artwork may appear in both the Partner Gallery and the Family Gallery. The Family Gallery account holder controls the family-facing title, description, audio, and public visibility.
If a Partner deletes unclaimed artwork, it is removed from the Partner Gallery. If a Partner removes claimed artwork, it is removed from the Partner Gallery but remains in the Family Gallery. If the Family Gallery account holder deletes claimed artwork, it is removed from both galleries.
8. How We Use Information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts, Family Galleries, and Partner Galleries.
- Store, organize, display, and share artwork and related information according to the account holder’s or Partner’s choices.

9. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information to target advertisements.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including providers of authentication, hosting, storage, transcription, analytics, communications, payments, product production, shipping, security, and customer support. They may use information only to provide services to pixyit and must protect it appropriately.
We may share information with a Partner as needed to operate its Partner Gallery, manage submissions and claims, fulfill its program, and report campaign, order, revenue-share, or impact results. Partners do not receive access to private Family Gallery audio.
Information chosen for public display is visible to anyone and may also be processed by social-media or other platforms when pixyit features it there.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety or rights of a child or another person, to investigate misuse or security incidents, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate protections.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, support checkout, protect account security, and understand how the Services are used.
We may use analytics providers, including Google Analytics where enabled, to understand general traffic and product usage. We do not intentionally send private artwork, private child profiles, or audio recordings to advertising or analytics providers.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features, including login, gallery access, and checkout, may not work correctly if required cookies are disabled.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an active account or gallery, fulfill orders, calculate royalties and revenue share, resolve disputes, protect security, and meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements.
Deleted gallery content and account profile information become unavailable through the Services immediately and are permanently deleted within 30 days.
Deleting artwork does not affect royalties already credited, completed transactions, products already printed, or orders already in production. Limited transaction, payment, royalty, donation, Partner revenue-share, tax, consent, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.
12. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
Parents and legal guardians may ask to review, correct, or delete information associated with their child and may withdraw permission for future collection or use, subject to legal and operational requirements.
You may control artwork visibility, delete artwork and audio, manage private sharing links where controls are available, and unsubscribe from promotional email. We may still send necessary account, security, order, subscription, and service messages.
To make a privacy request, contact privacy@pixyit.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing the request.
13. California Privacy Rights
Where applicable, California residents may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request correction or deletion, and receive equal service when exercising their privacy rights.
pixyit does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
California residents may submit a request by contacting privacy@pixyit.com.
14. International Users
pixyit is based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.
Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
15. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and security monitoring.
No online service can guarantee complete security. Use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe an account or information has been compromised.
